New Venture Championship

Presented by the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business, the New Venture Championship (NVC) was the premiere international entrepreneurial investment competition that inspired young entrepreneurs to develop their business dreams into a reality.

Teams of graduate students from around the world joined the event every year to pitch their business plans and compete for cash awards. In addition to monetary prizes, students had a unique opportunity to get feedback from judges to create successful ventures and capture the attention of angel investors.

The New Venture Championship has perhaps been best known for its judges. More than 50 industry leaders served as judges for various aspects of the event each year—from selecting the 16 semifinalist contenders, scoring elevator pitches, or choosing the NVC champion. Judges provided real-world feedback and invaluable guidance at every level of the competition, evaluating the best startups and new business ventures from top universities around the world. Access to the judge’s industry experience, mentoring, and critical analysis is what made NVC an unmatched experience.

Brigham Young University

KT Tape is applied along muscles, ligaments, and tendons to provide a lightweight, external support that helps you remain active while recovering from injuries. KT Tape creates neuromuscular feedback that relaxes or facilitates stronger firing of muscles and tendons. This feedback creates support elements without the bulk and restriction commonly associated with wraps and heavy bracing. KT Tape gives athletes confidence to perform their best.

“We are very grateful. The judges were phenomenal. They provided us with feedback in both the semi-final and final rounds, which was unparalleled in any other business plan competition we have competed in." —Michelle Quinn, KT Tape, 2009 NVC Winner
